“This is another step in the evolution of the company. National Lampoon continues to be a leader in the comedy world, and we are excited to be expanding our owned and controlled library along with building additional distribution throughout all media,” stated Daniel Laikin, National Lampoon Chief Executive Officer.
I think this is a great idea. A few years ago, Uproar! Entertainment released four of the classic NatLamp albums and two new ones, along with a box set of the classics, but for whatever reason, never got around to releasing Radio Dinner and my personal favorite Goodbye Pop. I'm hoping that these two classics will finally get CD releases! As for new releases, I doubt they'd be able to match the originals but you never know.
